In the Audience is an Indie Pop collective based out of Portland, Maine. The group’s debut album ''What Lives'' was spearheaded by multi-instrumentalists Jordan Stowell and Cam Jones and features contributions from rising players in both the New England and Toronto scenes. Their album ''What Lives'' is modeled in a way similar to Kate Bush’s 1985 masterpiece “Hounds of Love,” where the artists split her album in half. The first half of the album is a set of short, approachable songs with catchy hooks, while the second half of the album is much more experimental, structurally complex, and innovative.
